NICCOLÒ CUSANO UNIVERSITY JOINS TECHNOSCIENCE

Niccolò Cusano University in the Technoscience network

Niccolò Cusano University has joined the Pontine Science and Technology Park Consortium “Technoscience”, one of Italy’s most important and active research centres.

The historic membership signature arrived on 22 October 2021, with the signing of the agreement with the Consortium. The aim is to establish a collaborative link with the "Pontine Science and Technology Park "Technoscience" for training and research purposes.

In fact, the "Pontine Science and Technology Park "Technoscience" develops partnerships with institutions, the academic and medical world and with companies dealing with education and training, in order to develop innovative materials and tools that can contribute to the acceleration of technology transfer processes on the market, optimizing time and resources.

It is aimed primarily at companies operating in healthcare, nutraceuticals, production processes, product transformation, information technology, artificial intelligence and automation.

Therefore, Niccolò Cusano University and the Technoscience Science Park intend to develop and consolidate joint collaboration opportunities and initiatives through training and study activities, as well as by sharing spaces and equipment for research and teaching, which may be delivered both online and in person.

TECHNOSCIENCE DIRECTOR GENERAL, ENGINEER STEFANO DI ROSA, COMMENTED ON NICCOLÒ CUSANO UNIVERSITY JOINING THE CONSORTIUM AS FOLLOWS.
"Technoscience has now, for several years, been a reference for Research and Development in Italy, collaborating with its industrial fabric in order to increase and improve its business performance. The signing of the memorandum of understanding with the University of Niccolò Cusano is a great opportunity and we are convinced that our support will be fundamental for its technology transfer activities and for the "to market" of its patents and its research activities. We are honoured to collaborate with one of the most important telematic universities in Italy and we think that we will also be able to share excellent scientific dissemination activities and not only that, UniCusano is excellently structured in training and communication, both online and off-line".

De Rosa continued by explaining that "today the great challenge is to network Italian excellence, without missing the opportunity that the PNRR will give for large innovation projects. We are convinced that this is the right time to start running, thanks also to the capabilities and prestige of the Cusano University, which we thank for having placed its trust in us."

How we turn ideas into projects

From initial assessment to validation: a collaborative method that turns knowledge, technologies and business needs into concrete initiatives.

01

Discovery and assessment

We start from the need, the scientific result or the available technology. We assess objectives, maturity, data, constraints and opportunities to define an initial realistic pathway.

02

Expertise and project design

We connect scientific and industrial partners and define activities, milestones, responsibilities and funding sources aligned with the expected outcome.

03

Validation and impact

We support experimentation, technology transfer and valorisation, measuring results and preparing the solution for its next step: adoption, partnership or market.

To rapidly assess a project in biotech and translational medicine - from oncology and neuroscience to precision cardiology and telemedicine - we ask for: a clear clinical or industrial question, the available evidence (including negative findings), access to data and samples where applicable, a draft protocol (including ethical aspects), and hypotheses on biomarkers and endpoints. In return, we offer technical and scientific due diligence, the design of a credible TRL pathway and, where appropriate, support with regulatory strategy, validation and scalability.
