Technoscience at SaniDays 2025: Innovation and Prevention at the Heart of Healthcare

On 8 May 2025, Technoscience will be the protagonist of SaniDays, the Roman week dedicated to health, well-being and prevention, with a day entirely focused on innovation in the phlebo-lymphological field and advanced training for healthcare professionals.

One event, many opportunities for health and innovation

Technoscience's participation in SaniDays 2025 represents a concrete opportunity to promote a new culture of health, where technology and research are placed at the service of people. Throughout 8 May, the programme will alternate free screening, specialist training, scientific outreach and technology presentations.

Morning – Free vascular screening and prevention

Cutting-edge diagnostic technology for prevention: Colour Doppler ultrasound and CW Doppler will be employed by a multidisciplinary team of expert doctors – phlebologists, orthopedists, posturologists, physiatrists and internal medicine specialists – to offer personalised vascular screening, clinical consultations and prevention strategies.

The morning activities will be coordinated by Prof. and Dr. Augusto Orsini and Dr. Salvatore Venosi, with the aim of promoting an integrated and innovative approach to vascular health.

Afternoon – Training and research: the future of healthcare

At 3.00 pm, in collaboration with S3Opus and Studio Panzarani & Associates, the new advanced training course will be presented "The future of work in the healthcare professions”, edited by Felice Paolo Arcuri and of PrProf. Roberto Panzarani. An important event for professionals wishing to update their skills from a digital and multidisciplinary perspective.

Next, space forscientific innovation with a presentation by Prof. Matteo Russo on the new molecular mechanisms involved in vascular pathologies (HIF/NFkB pathway), and the comparison on lymphedema driven by Chiara Buldrini, author of Free to live with Lymphedema, to promote awareness, prevention and psychological support.

Late afternoon – Technology and humanization of care

The day will end with two emblematic events of our approach: the presentation of the book “Complex systems are simple” of Augusto Orsini and the showcase of Smart Sock Project – an intelligent sock capable of monitoring Chronic Venous Disease in real time, integrated with a mobile app.

How we turn ideas into projects

From initial assessment to validation: a collaborative method that turns knowledge, technologies and business needs into concrete initiatives.

01

Discovery and assessment

We start from the need, the scientific result or the available technology. We assess objectives, maturity, data, constraints and opportunities to define an initial realistic pathway.

02

Expertise and project design

We connect scientific and industrial partners and define activities, milestones, responsibilities and funding sources aligned with the expected outcome.

03

Validation and impact

We support experimentation, technology transfer and valorisation, measuring results and preparing the solution for its next step: adoption, partnership or market.

To rapidly assess a project in biotech and translational medicine - from oncology and neuroscience to precision cardiology and telemedicine - we ask for: a clear clinical or industrial question, the available evidence (including negative findings), access to data and samples where applicable, a draft protocol (including ethical aspects), and hypotheses on biomarkers and endpoints. In return, we offer technical and scientific due diligence, the design of a credible TRL pathway and, where appropriate, support with regulatory strategy, validation and scalability.
