Verdi\u201d di San Severo ha ospitato la terza edizione delle <strong>Giornate di Nutrizione Clinica dell\u2019Alto Tavoliere<\/strong>, International Meeting dedicato al ruolo della nutrizione clinica nella prevenzione, nella gestione delle patologie croniche e nel miglioramento della qualit\u00e0 di vita dei pazienti. L\u2019evento, accreditato ECM, ha riunito medici, biologi nutrizionisti, farmacisti, dietisti, psicologi, infermieri, fisioterapisti, tecnici sanitari e chinesiologi, confermando la natura fortemente multidisciplinare del congresso.<\/p><p>In questo contesto si \u00e8 inserita la lettura scientifica del <strong>Prof. Matteo Antonio Russo<\/strong>, dal titolo <strong>\u201cMolecular basis of the beneficial effects of Mediterranean diet on prevention of age-related cardiac diseases and on life expectancy\u201d<\/strong>. Come sottolineato anche nel razionale scientifico del congresso, la nutrizione ha un ruolo nella prevenzione primaria delle malattie croniche non trasmissibili e delle loro complicanze, coinvolgendo obesit\u00e0, diabete mellito di tipo 2, malattie cardiovascolari, neoplasie, alterazioni endocrine, microbiota intestinale, nutrigenomica e sicurezza della filiera agroalimentare.<\/p><p>Da questa prospettiva, la dieta mediterranea assume un valore che supera l\u2019ambito strettamente clinico. Non \u00e8 soltanto uno schema nutrizionale, ma un patrimonio scientifico, culturale e territoriale, fondato sulla qualit\u00e0 degli alimenti, sulla loro origine, sulla relazione tra produzione e salute, e sulla capacit\u00e0 di trasformare la prevenzione in pratica quotidiana. Il congresso ha infatti dedicato ampio spazio anche al rapporto tra cibo, territorio, sicurezza alimentare, sostenibilit\u00e0 e sviluppo
